This FatherHood Friday, I want to start off kind of heavy and then lighten the load. Bear with me, but I have to say something.
In Christopher Moore‘s hilarious book, ‘A Dirty Job‘, his main character is a ‘beta male’. Moore describes a beta male as the guy that wasn’t all that popular in high school that, when something does go his way, he feels like it will be snatched away at any moment. The beta male’s imagination is constantly shifting to the worst case scenario.
I’m pretty sure that I am a beta male, and I have a pretty active imagination.
Wordless Wednesday: SuperDad and His Amazing Family Edition
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009Okay, so I just can’t go completely wordless this week. These pictures were taken yesterday by my lovely and talented wife as we hung out in Glenwood Springs, CO. We spent a lazy Tuesday going to the last farmers market of the season and basically just hanging out. We wound up buying Calli a $2 ring that happened to be green in a gem shop. That was the best $2 I ever spent. Calli immediately donned the ring and walked down the street calling out ‘Green Lantern‘s light!’ and striking the most amazing hero poses! So a touch of editing with Gimp 2 (Photoshop‘s free cousin), and voila! Instant tiny mighty super hero!
