You absolutely can not argue with 'Brave and the Bold.' Just for the old school look alone! I have very vague memories of a live-action Spider-Man, but I was born in the late 70's, so it must have been reruns. ;)
I remember, every once in a while, when two shows would be on that I wanted to watch, and we didn't have a VCR! I actually had to make a choice! Saturdays had to be planned very strategically...

This is really cool. My youngest son loves this show and the older ones are crazy about the Brave and Bold (well, and me too).

I was laughing about planning out your Saturdays with the TV Guide. I used to do the same thing as kid. Of course, I'm so old, I remember watching the Amazing Spider-Man live-action show in the late 70's.

I watched this new version for the first time last week. I found it completely by accident and I was curious. My boys came downstairs (age 6 and5) and plopped themselves down on the couch and watched it with me. Now, my boys ONLY watch superhero cartoons. They watch even the more adult versions like the ones you describe as being slightly advanced. They also watch a ton of anime (full metal alchemist is their favorite because they are brothers like the main characters). Anyway, they are cartoon experts and especially superhero cartoon experts. They LOVED this version of the Marvel superhero series. I agree with you. It's just well made and solid. It's quality programming regardless of the miniature spin on our classic favorites.

I was never a big fan of comic books or super hero cartoons. Sure, I watched superfriends, but it was never my favorite. Now old school Warner Bros., that was my style and I miss seeing them. I don't really get Chowder either, but Love Phineas and Ferb, especially the 1st season.
